Dr. Zhao is originally from the Sichuan province in China and describes himself as “a failed Chinese farmer.” Yet currently, he is a Professor of Education at the University of Oregon, and in today’s interview, he shares his story of the evolution from the son of a poor Chinese farmer to a successful educational researcher.
