Digital Citizenship for Parents

What do we do about “The Committee”? Perhaps you haven’t heard the term, but we all know about “The Committee”–all the other opinions out there trying to influence our kids. When we were kids, “The Committee” was much more likely to consist of 3 TV channels, a handful of movies, and our friends from the playground. With the internet, The Committee has become much harder to nail down, but as parents, you have some great tools at your disposal.

Together we will explore the landscape of becoming Good Digital Citizens, on purpose. We can take responsibility to setup a good environment in our homes to encourage our values. By familiarizing ourselves with a few tools and remembering that we are the parents, we can help our kids navigate the complex online environment to become Great Digital Citizens.

Date: August 24th
Location: Phelan, CA
Time: 1-3pm
Cost:
$50 (if taken individually without a student in one of the other events on Aug 24)
