His focus is on STEM education, and he is a strong proponent of tinkering as a pathway to helping children learn about engineering. He is the co-author of the book “The Invent to Learn Guide to 3D Printing in the Classroom” which is aligned to both the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common Core Math standards.
